Pickles and Jelly
Wednesday, August 25, 2004

As messy and annoying, as much of a nuisance, and as much as it limits sex, I get a sense of pleasure from my period. There is a sense of cleansing, of purging, and the metallic smell of the blood is securing and stable.

Sneak attack
Mood:  caffeinated
I'm starting this blog because too many people know about my original one and I want to be able to say what I really think. My intent with this is more of a diary than an open communication to others. If no one ever reads this I will be surely pleased. I've been thinking about doing this for awhile, but I had to today because of the events I will soon summarize.

I will change names to protect the innocent [i.e. me]. So, the fella I live with [I hate the word boyf...] will forever in Pickles and Jelly be known as Frank. Frank is very intelligent and is well on his way to becoming a great thinker. However, he is not capable of keeping track of every day things. His head is always in the clouds and if never had another obligation, he would be most happy. Like last January, he got a ticket for not having auto insurance. He wanted to contest this ticket so a court date was set. He missed it because he was visiting me in another state [before I moved here] and pulled over to sleep on his way back. He slept too long and missed it. A bench warrant was put out for him and he paid the bond and a new court date was set. I don't remember the reason, but he misses this one too. Same thing. He makes one in there somewhere but still another was set. This recent court date was set for yesterday but he thought it was today. So he goes down to court today and finds out he's a day late and 750 dollars short. Yes $750. See the first missed date the bond on his arrest was $250. The second, $500. Now this one is $750. He doesn't know if he will get that money back and he doesn't really seem to care. A little math and we see the court system is getting $1500 from him because he missed his court dates. I just wanted to shake him and yell "how hard is it to keep track of the piece of paper that says your court date was 8/18 and not 8/19. Being so carefree with your head in the clouds is worth $1500 to you?"

Uck. Uck uck uck. We were just beginning to stay above water and now this. We'll be ok, but just scraping by now this month.

Goddamnit Frank.
